MEET THE DIRECTOR

Andrew Parham

Andrew L. Parham currently resides in College Station, Texas and serves as an Assistant Band
Director and Percussion Director for Bryan High School. Prior to this position, Mr. Parham
served as Assistant Band Director and Percussion Director at C. E. King High School, A&M Consolidated High School, Ganado ISD, and served as Band Director, Percussion Director, and Private Teacher in East Tennessee totaling 19 years in education.

During his teaching career, Mr. Parham has taught grades 5-12 in both public and private schools leading many students and programs to success. As a Band Director and Percussion Director, Mr. Parham’s Marching Bands and Percussion groups have been UIL State Marching Band Participants, UIL Area Marching Participants and Finalists, 2 time Bands of America Regional Finalists, 16 time WGI Percussion Regional Finalists, 4 time WGI World Semi-Finalists, 3 time Texas Color Guard Circuit State Finalists, Western Carolina Tournament of Champions Finalist, and Middle Tennessee State Contest of Champions Finalist.

On the concert stage, Mr. Parham’s groups have earned superior ratings and performed 3 times at the Tennessee Music Educators State Concert Festival. Mr. Parham has also lead many students to Superior Ratings in UIL Solo & Ensemble events and UIL Concert Contest & Sight Reading.
Mr. Parham also enjoys freelance work as a performer, private lesson teacher, arranger, and
consultant. Performances with community organizations have included the Symphonic Stars Brass Band, Knoxville Community Band, Scruffy City Orchestra, Sacred Heart Cathedral,
Crossroads Community Band Victoria, and many others.

Mr. Parham holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Tennessee and
holds certification in K-12 instrumental music in Texas. He is a member of the Texas
Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Educators Association, Percussive Arts Society, and is an Innovative Percussion endorsed educator.

During his free time, Andrew enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, exploring, and photography. Andrew also enjoys spending quality time with his daughter Emmaline and his dog, Ginger.
